Work sessions
Rodney’s format for litigation strategy is called a work session: four intensive days onsite in Napa to develop one case. Over the course of each work session, Rodney leads litigation teams to fully develop the key strategy of a single case. His approach to litigation strategy is unlike any other, and some of the world’s most influential firms bring their most challenging cases to Rodney for his breakthrough insights.
The work session is carefully designed to accomplish targeted, specific work on a case. One unique feature is visual strategy development that is integrated into every work session. Visual strategist Amy G. Hall works alongside Rodney and the team to create demonstrative exhibits in a fast-paced, iterative process that doesn’t exist anywhere else. It’s not unusual for a team to leave at the end of the week with a trial-ready visual storytelling package of dozens of interrelated, interdependent, and strategically sequenced demonstrative exhibits. Amy has worked side by side with Rodney in all of his work sessions for 13 years.
Set in the heart of Napa Valley vineyards, Rodney’s offices are designed to create a focused environment for learning and productivity. Every detail is orchestrated: from shared meals created by his full-time chef to his precise time-blocking protocol, Rodney ensures that each case and each team are developed to their potential.
